Gov Abdulrazaq, security chiefs storm troubled Kwara community

Governor Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq of Kwara state and commanders of two security agencies in the state, on Saturday stormed troubled Babanla community in Ifelodun Local Government Area.

Babanla community has been trending recently over violent attacks by armed bandits which forced some of the people in Ganmu Ahileri community near Babanla to desert their ancestral homes.

Governor Abdulrazaq reassured the community that the government stands in solidarity with them as multi agency security deployments are made to strengthen public safety and deter criminals from taking advantage of the people.

He asserted that “no resources will be spared to protect the people.”

The visit is on the heels of strategic security measures put in place in the area following recent breaches by criminals in the community and its environs.

Governor Abdulrazaq was accompanied by security commanders, including Brigade Commander Brigadier General Barkins, Police Commissioner Adekimi Ojo, Ifelodun Local Government Chairman, Femi Yusuf, and Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Security, Alhaji Muhyideen Aliu.

Led by the the Oba of Babanla, Alhaji Aliu Adegboyega Alabi Yusuf and his chiefs, hundreds of community members welcomed the governor and his entourage in Babanla.

The monarch commended the governor for standing by the communities involved.
