GOT7’s Jinyoung is taking on his first villain role in the upcoming film “Hi-5”;;!
“Hi-5”;; is a comic action adventure about five people who unexpectedly gain different superpowers through organ transplants and must defend themselves against those who seek to exploit their abilities.
Jinyoung plays Young Chun, a cult leader who gains the power to absorb youth after a pancreas transplant. He leaves behind his weak past and is reborn. Focused on living forever, Young Chun learns that others who received organ transplants also have powers. He sets out to find them and take all their abilities for himself.
Jinyoung said he took the role because “the script was so interesting, there was no reason not to do it.”;; Speaking about playing a villain for the first time, he said, “From an actor’s perspective, it was a great role because it let me show different sides of my acting.”;;
Jinyoung worked hard for the role of Young Chun from carefully planning his speech and gestures to training his body through exercise to express his youthful powers and bold actions. Director Kang Hyung Cheol praised him, saying, “He is an incredibly hardworking actor. He prepared thoroughly to create his own style as if he was born for the role of Young Chun, and he delivered a wonderful performance.”;;
