Go Min Sihas shared more insights into her character in the upcoming drama “Tastefully Yours”;!
“Tastefully Yours”; is a romance drama about chaebol heir Han Beom Woo (Kang Ha Neul) and stubborn chef Mo Yeon Joo (Go Min Si), who have different backgrounds and philosophies about food but wind up running a small restaurant together in Jeonju, where they grow and fall in love.
Go Min Si plays Mo Yeon Joo, a chef with unwavering passion and a firm philosophy on cooking. She runs a one-person fine dining restaurant called “Jeongje,”; but her life takes an unexpected turn when she meets Han Beom Woo, a second-generation chaebol who prioritizes appearance over substance in food.
On “Tastefully Yours”; being her first romantic comedy, Go Min Si shared, “I’m thrilled to greet everyone with my first romantic comedy in the warmth of spring. Last year, I received the script for ‘Tastefully Yours’âwhich felt like a birthday giftâand I felt compelled to take part.”; She continued, “What drew me in most was the character Mo Yeon Joo herselfâshe’s a chef with a strong philosophy, unshakable determination, and a belief in sincerity above all else. She can be stubborn and eccentric at times, but also deeply warm. That made her charming and irresistible to me.”;
When asked to describe Mo Yeon Joo as a dish, Go Min Si picked basic kimbap. “While kimbap with fancy ingredients is delicious too, I personally prefer the simple, classic version for everyday eating. I think it’s hardest to make the basics taste truly goodâbut if you stay faithful to the fundamentals, even something simple can become a beloved classic,”; she explained, highlighting the grounded charm of her character.
Go Min Si also revealed the extensive preparation she put into the role. “I took lessons before filming to prepare. In particular, I worked hard to get the Jeonju dialect just rightâchecking and double-checking the tone and usage. I also started practicing my knife skills well in advance and even learned to cook directly from chefs on set during filming,”; she said, raising expectations for the authenticity of her portrayal.
She concluded with a heartfelt message: “I hope that when viewers are feeling worn out by daily life, they can watch this drama and laugh freely without overthinking. I hope it feels like a warm mealâa simple story about life and love that’s comforting because it’s shared. I’d love for ‘Tastefully Yours’ to be remembered as a feel-good romantic comedy that both stays true to its roots and fills your heart with laughter.”;
“Tastefully Yours”; will premiere on May 12 at 10 p.m. KST.
