GOOD Morning Britain’s Ranvir Singh has revealed how she wanted to open a bottle of wine before 11am, as she made a candid confession about alcohol.
The TV presenter, 49, bravely talked about how at one point in her life she was left “concerned” she was “drinking too much”.

On today’s , the presenter and her co-host , 70, were chatting to a woman who revealed she had quit drinking after “downing two bottles of wine a day”.
This prompted to talk about her own previous “concerns” when it came to alcohol.
The former star revealed how the pressure of lockdown during the had seen her turn to the booze.
Ranvir revealed that she started to get worried that her wine intake had gone up, especially after a day of work and also home-schooling her son, Tushaan, now 14.
“So I don’t mind admitting that during Covid I was working, I was a political editor here and I was home-schooling, right, so and I would leave here and I would go home and it (drinking) became really normalised,” the star candidly revealed.
“I think in Covid, you know on the WhatsApp group down the street, you’d say ‘Four o’clock, is it too early?’ is it wine o’clock?’

“You know everybody was going ‘Home schooling, it’s so stressful!’ like I had it all in my WhatsApp groups.”
Continuing, with her story, Ranvir said: “There was one morning, probably three weeks into (lockdown), where I went to open the cupboard and I thought, ‘Oh is it too early to have a glass of wine?’
“And I looked at the clock and it was 11am! 11am! And I terrified myself.”

NHS guidelines on drinking alcohol
According to the NHS, regularly drinking more than 14 units of alcohol a week risks damaging your health.
To keep health risks from alcohol to a low level if you drink most weeks:
- men and women are advised not to drink more than 14 units a week on a regular basis
- spread your drinking over 3 or more days if you regularly drink as much as 14 units a week
- if you want to cut down, try to have several drink-free days each week
If you’re pregnant or think you could become pregnant, the safest approach is not to drink alcohol at all to keep risks to your baby to a minimum.
