A TEENAGE girl was allegedly chased down the street by two men after they tried to lure her into a car – as cops launch an investigation.

It is claimed the teen was approached by the men in a small blue car on Felixstowe Road at around 11.20am.

They are then said to have asked her to get in the vehicle.

After refusing, the teenager ran off towards Murray Road Park, but was reportedly chased by her attackers.

Cops say the girl then screamed, prompting the men to run back to their car and flee the area.

It is believed the pair then drove off towards Felixstowe Road.

Officers were scrambled to the scene a short while later but could not find the alleged attackers or their vehicle.

Suffolk said: “Additional police patrols will be conducted in the area.

“Residents are encouraged to approach uniformed officers with any queries or information they may have.

“Police are appealing for any witnesses to the incident or anyone that may have seen the two men or the blue vehicle in the area around the time.

“Anyone with a dash-camera in the area at the time or residents with CCTV or video doorbell cameras are asked to review their footage for anything that may be of relevance.

“Anyone with information is asked to contact Suffolk Constabulary’s South CID quoting reference 37/7326/26.”
