GERWYN PRICE is facing a challenging draw in the World Darts Championship after his defeat to Luke Littler in the Player Championship Finals.

However, it was Littler who secured his spot in the final with an 11-8 victory, claiming the trophy with the same scoreline.
Price recorded an average of 101 in a solid performance, but it wasn't enough to defeat the new world No. 1.
Consequently, the Welshman will now be anxious about his prospects at the World Championship in December.
Price is set to be the ninth seed for the tournament, which could lead to a matchup against top seed Littler as early as the quarter-finals at Ally Pally.
The semi-finals could feature potential clashes against Stephen Bunting or Jonny Clayton.
Meanwhile, Luke Humphries and Michael van Gerwen await in the final.
If Price had won last night’s final, he would have secured the sixth position in the Order of Merit.
This would have placed him on the opposite side of the draw, meaning he wouldn't face Littler until the final at the earliest.
A quarter-final on that side could have led to a possible showdown against Van Gerwen or Josh Rock.
The odds have always been against Price, who has now lost his last seven tournament matches against Littler.
Nevertheless, the Welshman insists he harbors no fear of the teenage sensation or former world No. 1 Humphries.
Price remarked: “You need a bit of luck to win tournaments.
“At the moment, the two Lukes are enjoying that luck.
“But when that changes, will they continue to win? I don’t believe so.”
