Talia has been open about Oakley’s health struggles since birth, but in November
At the time, she told The Sun how Oakley had been diagnosed with – an abnormal build up of fluid in the brain – with doctors fitting a shunt in his brain to drain the fluid.
Now taking to Instagram, Talia says the little one is undergoing even more tests and procedures in the next week.
Describing the situation as “draining”, she told her followers on Instagram: “Anyone who has got a complex child will understand this. When you’re under a few different hospitals, it’s so draining being, like, a coordinator as well.”
Talia explained that she has to take Oakley to Liverpool next week for an MDT, which is a meeting where doctors discuss a patient’s treatment plan.
But before that can happen, he needs several tests in a short space of time.
She said: “It’s an MDT so they talk about everything about Oakley, to do with his Apert syndrome and all of Oakley’s conditions.
“So, on the Monday I need to go see them because he needs to be seen by orthopedics because I mentioned about his shoulders, he can’t lift his arms above like, chest height.
“On the Tuesday is the only day they do clinic for the MDTs, but, he needs to have a CT scan between now and then.
“Oakley does not cooperate for a CT, he has to have a general anesthetic, which again is not ideal. It’s another GA,” said Talia, who last year said the three-year-old has already gone under anesthetic 19 times in his life.
She continued: “And with him having a complex airway and being complex as it is, it’s still not ideal.
“He’s also on the waiting list for the, I think it’s called an endoscopy – where they go in with a camera and test the PH for his reflux and see how bad it is. So that’s another GA.”
“My head is just baffled to see if I can get the endoscopy and CT at the same time. But we’ve got to do it all before 23 February.
“It’s just like, chasing people, trying to organise the CTs, just everything. It’s a lot,” admitted Talia.
The dedicated mum – who also has daughter Siennah from a previous relationship – first became known when she started dating star Aaron in 2017.
The pair quickly welcomed their three children in a whirlwind, but when Oakley was born he was in and out of hospital for months.
The pressure became too much, and .
Talia claimed in November that Aaron does not attend the toddler’s hospital appointments.
