GEORDIE Shore has been greenlit for a brand new series with filming set to begin in the coming weeks.

Over the past few years, the Paramount+ show has been with fans claiming “it’s not the same anymore.”

But, according to a source the show numbers are up and bosses wasted no time locking down the next series.

Geordie Shore first aired in 2011, following the daily lives of young people partying and getting ‘mortal.’

Show star recently let slip was about to begin filming the next season as she chatted with her hairdresser in a candid video.

Sophie said: “I am ready. I have got baby showers coming up and there is exciting things coming up.

“I am going away with Geordie [Shore], so we’re filming, filming…”

A source has now confirmed that Geordie Shore has indeed been given the go ahead for another season.

They also told how two of the show’son camera.

The source exclusively told The Sun: “Talk has dogged Geordie Shore in recent years that the show will be rested as they are all grown up now, but it continues to do really well on , as well as Paramount+, so bosses wasted no time greenlighting it for another run.

“Filming starts in a couple of weeks. This series will see the whole gang go on a babymoon style holiday with pregnant Sophie and ahead of their new arrivals.”

They added: “Both girls have also decided to allow cameras to their births too for the show. They will be in control of how much is shown, but they want these special moments in their lives to be documented.”

Geordie Shore has recently undergone quite the format change with the cast growing up, having kids, and taking on new responsibilities.

The show has a whopping 26 seasons and a trusted insider told us that everyone knows something “has to change” if it’s going to survive.

They said: “Getting the whole cast in one place for weeks at a time just isn’t realistic.

“The big holiday villa and fixed-rig setup has been scrapped, it’s moving towards a more flexible, fly-on-the-wall style that follows the much loved cast in their real lives.”
