Unfortunately, the couple split just three months later and since then, Gemma, 23, has been putting more and more distance between herself and the show.
This week, she returned to reality TV on her family’s Prime Video show – Meet the Owens – alongside , mum Louise and her three younger siblings.
The series follows the family as they try to take Michael’s horse racing empire to the next level.

However, Gemma didn’t seem able to bring herself to say the show’s name, simply telling the cameras: “I was on a well known television programme.”

At the time, Gemma said: “This really is a dream come true for me.
“I wore PrettyLittleThing throughout my time on the show and now being announced as one of their newest ambassadors alongside some incredible talent including Love Island alumni is really special.”

Gemma has always grown up around horses and competed in dressage, and now she’s branched out into TV presenting work at equestrian events.
But she admits her new, Tatler-esque look has been criticised by some, telling her mum in one episode: “A lot of people describe my style as a middle-aged woman.”
Gemma is so focused on her career in the world of horses, that it also seems she has taken a step back from her former passion project, swimwear range OG Beachwear.
Gemma wore her own range while in the Love Island villa, before renaming her business G R O Clothing and added loungewear after leaving the show.
While the OG Beachwear website is still active and currently offering a sale on the various pieces, its official Instagram account hasn’t been updated in a year.
And on Companies House, the as Gemma and her family would have hoped.
Meet the Owens is available on Prime Video now.
