Gavin and Stacey star Larry Lamb, 78, reveals he’s moved back in with ex Clare nine years after their split

AFTER almost a decade living apart, Larry Lamb and his ex-partner Clare Burt have moved back in together.

The couple, who share two grown up daughters, ended their long-term relationship in 2016 for reasons still unknown.

However, they have since found a new way to make things work and are happily living under the same roof once again.

Larry, who played Mick Shipman in hit BBC comedy , revealed their unusual arrangement during an appearance on Rosebud podcast.

He said: “Having lived with the mother of my two daughters for 15 years, then being separated for about seven or eight, nine years, we finally finished up under the same roof.

“Having a really pally life.”

Asked whether the pair had reunited romantically, Larry, 78, made it clear their relationship was now entirely platonic.

He replied: “We live together as friends… literally as friends.

“And I can really, really recommend it after living through the first episode of it.”

The former star also paid tribute to actress Clare for tolerating his very particular ways.

He added: “[She’s] a really extraordinary woman, because putting up with somebody like me is not easy.”

Larry and Clare began dating in the Nineties and were together for around 20 years before their separation was revealed.

They share daughters Eloise and Eva-Mathilde.

Following their split, Larry was linked to French artist , who greeted him as he left the I’m A Celebrity jungle in 2016.

Larry has been married three times – first to , with whom he had daughter Vanessa, followed by American nurse and Irish singer Linda Martin, the mother of his TV presenter son

After three marriages and four other long-term relationships, Larry has said last year that his days of pursuing romance were firmly behind him.

“I’m very definitely a happily single man these days,” he previously said, adding: “I’m just an old bachelor boy. It’s too late for the ladies – those days are happily over.”
