Salford came agonisingly close to promotion to last term but lost to Notts County in the play-off final.

The club has returned to its famous orange shirt to the delight of fans, hired a new manager and led a revamp of their 5,108-seater stadium.

Moor Lane has had its name changed to the AIG Stadium, with a new paint job to match the club’s orange and black colours.

The crest has also been updated.

Salford are also renovating their Littleton Road training ground, which is owned by United.
