And as Kroenke, 46, sat down with the group at a picnic table, he handed an Arsenal-themed bag over to Neville.
He said: “I figured I would come and sit down for a few moments. And on behalf of our entire club, we have a little present.”
A nervous Neville responded: “Am I going to like this, Josh? Do you want me to open it on camera?”
The international turned Sky Sports pundit then pulled out an Arsenal shirt with his name and number on the back.
And on the No2, Arteta had personally written a message calling Neville “our biggest supporter”.
The manager explained: “Gary was here a few weeks ago. We spent some time together, we had a coffee, we had a very good, full discussion, so I give him this shirt. I said, ‘when we win it, please, you have to put it on’.”
Neville, who contested countless fierce clashes with Arsenal during his United days, got away without having to pull on the red and white jersey.
He chuckled: “There you go, you see? Arsenal fans, we knew it all along, didn’t we!

“That will get framed and it will get put in my house. Thank you.”
Neville tipped Arsenal to win the Premier League title this season and his prediction came true when failed to beat Bournemouth last Tuesday, putting the Gunners mathematically out of reach with a game still to play.
He even perfectly outlined how Arsenal would sew it up.
Neville said: “I think City beat [Crystal] Palace, I think Arsenal beat and win it on May 19, the Tuesday night, by City not doing the job at Bournemouth.”
