GABE ROSADO has cast doubt on whether former sparring partner Jake Paul will be able to fight on after having his jaw brutally broken.

Rosado – a two-time middleweight world title challenger – sparred with Paul before the YouTube star’s June points win over Julio Cesar Chavez Jr.

In Paul’s next bout seven months later, he audaciously moved up to heavyweight to take on two-time champion .

It ended in a sixth-round knockout loss and Paul’s jaw snapping in four places –

Rosado, 40, told SunSport: “I’ve known him for a while and they just called me to come into camp.

“I have a house in Puerto Rico, so after this event I’ll be heading back to Puerto Rico to relax, man.

“But I went to Puerto Rico and just helped him out, gave him a few rounds for the Chavez fight and he was putting in the work.

“Obviously moving up to heavyweight and fighting Joshua was not the best move. Financially it was, but other than that.”

Paul, 29, was due to face 5ft 5in lightweight Gervonta Davis, 31, in an exhibition bout in November.

But that was scrapped after Davis was accused of domestic abuse – sparking a scramble to find a replacement.

Although Rosado doubts the fight will ever happen – with facing an uncertain future due to his shattered jaw.

He said: “I think it all depends on the kind of injury, how he’s gonna recover from that injury.

“Because I guess getting a broken jaw is common, but from what I hear, the kind of broken jaw he got is something different.

“Probably a little more extreme, so I really don’t know if Jake’s gonna come back, you know what I mean? That’s up to Jake.”

Rosado, who has shared the ring with greats like Gennady Golovkin in iconic stages like Madison Square Garden,

He takes on Misfits Boxing champion Ty Mitchell – the new face of the celebrity-style crossover scene which now welcomes Rosado.

And the Philly veteran said: “There’s a lot of lanes and this is something where you know a big fight for the Misfits light-heavyweight title.

“It’s intriguing to me, it’s fun. So when Mams [Taylor] gave me the opportunity, I ran with it.”
