THE FUTURE of a hit Channel 5 drama with an ex Corrie legend has been revealed after four series on air.

The much loved crime drama starring is set to return for a fifth series.

Former actress Sally will once again lead the cast as she reprises her role as amateur sleuth and antiques dealer Jean White.

follows Jean as she helps solve mysteries and deaths in the village of Sainte Victoire in the south of France.

Steve Edge is also returning as her fiancée Dom Hayes alongside co-writer Sue Vincent who stars as glorious Gloria Beaushaw.

Robin Askwith and Sue Holderness also return as Jeremy and Judith Lloyd James along with Alex Gaumond as Chief of Police André Caron.

Returning alongside them is Tony Robinson as Dom’s Uncle Patrick, as Gloria’s dad Trevor, and Stephen Bailey, back to cause trouble as gangster John Marsden.

The synopsis for season 5 reads: “As Jean and Dom plan their wedding, nothing can prepare them for the unseen obstacles that crop up along the way.

“Over the course of the series, a dead body in one of the shows iconic locations, Uncle Patrick hosts the pub quiz of the century at La Couronne.

“Judith and Jeremy face a heart‑wrenching dilemma, and the bodies continue to stack up when someone is found foaming at the mouth in St Victoire Theatre.

“We witness the full, fabulous wrath of John Marsden, and hold our breath to see whether Jean and Dom will finally make it down the aisle.”

The series is currently in production in Gozo and Malta and is set to air later in 2026 on Channel 5.
