FURIOUS The Voice viewers have slammed the show for ditching a fan favourite feature for the first time in 15 years.
The singing contest returned on Saturday night with , Sir and McFly‘s and returning as coaches.

They were joined for the first time by Destiny‘s Child’s Kelly Rowland, and while fans were delighted to see her in the spinning red chair, they were disappointed that she didn’t get to be part of another show tradition.
Usually, a new series of opens with the coaches performing together.
But on Saturday night, the stars were just introduced to the audience instead.
Taking to X, one wrote: “They got Kelly Rowland on the panel and for the first time in 15 years DIDN’T open the series with a coaches performance?! Fire the producers #TheVoiceUK.”
Another added: “No coach performance?!? wtf #TheVoiceUK”.
A third tweeted: “Did they not film a coaches performance this year or what.”
As well as a new coach, the show also introduced a new twist, a “rewind button”.
It means each coach has the chance to give a singer a second try if they didn’t turn their chair around initially.
Danny said of the new element: “The Rewind Button is a total game-changer!
“It’s brilliant because it gives that extra bit of power to right a wrong.”
