BRIT singer Olivia Dean has taken a swipe at ticket touts for making it impossible for fans to be able to afford her shows.
The Grammy Award winner, 27, who kicks off her biggest UK and EU tour later this month to support her upcoming second album The Art of Loving, spoke about her fury over tickets are being resold above face value.

will be performing a number of shows including dates at London’s The O2 and Glasgow‘s OVO Hydro before heading to Amsterdam and Paris.
The Man I Need hitmakerbranded the ticket resale market as “exploitative” after tickets for her show were recently being sold for a lot more than it was originally bought for.
“There is no way that I’m going to get up on that stage and sing my heart out while somebody sits at home and makes 500 dollars or 600 dollars off of me and you,” Olivia said to Elle Magazine.
“I want people to be able to afford to come to the show.
“I don’t think you need to be someone who’s got loads of money to enjoy your favourite album. Full stop.”
In November, Olivia spoke out about this problem which prompted online ticketing platform Ticketmaster to step in to try and prevent it.
They issued a partial refund to fans who had already purchased a resale ticket, in order for them to recoup the difference between the original price and the price charged by the reseller.
Plus they also put a cap on future resale tickets for her tour.
Meanwhile the government also for live events above face value.
above its original price will be illegal under new rules.
Service fees charged by resale platforms will also be capped to prevent the price limit being undermined.
And resale platforms will be legally required to monitor and enforce this.
People will additionally be banned from reselling more tickets than they were entitled to buy in the initial ticket sale.
Culture Secretary said: “For too long, ticket touts have ripped off fans, using bots to snap up batches of tickets and resell them at sky-high prices. They’ve become a shadow industry on resale sites, acting without consequence.
“This government is putting fans first. Our new proposals will shut down the touts’ racket and make world-class music, comedy, theatre and sport affordable for everyone.”
So far in 2026 Olivia has scooped four Brits, three Mobos and a Grammy.
Last week she won Best Female Act, Album Of The Year for The Art Of Loving and Song Of The Year for Man I Need , cementing her reign at the top.
At February’s Brits her album The Art of Loving was named Album of the Year.
Screaming in joy as she , she said: “Making this album has changed my life.
“I feel so proud to have made it and to have worked with everyone that I did on it. Max Bastian, Zack, thank you for believing in me…”
Breaking down in tears again, she added: “This album is just about love and loving each other in a world that feels loveless right now.
“So… I don’t know. Thank you, bye!”
