The members of fromis_9 recently participated in a photo shoot for the fashion magazine Harper’s Bazaar Korea.
The shoot captures the unique and confident charms of fromis_9 members Song Hayoung, Park Jiwon, Lee Nagyung, Lee Chaeyoung, and Baek Jiheon.
In the interview following the shoot, the members talked about their preparations for their upcoming comeback. Song Hayoung shared, “Every step was a new challenge. I didn’t want anyone to feel like something was missing just because we have fewer members, and I kept thinking about how great it would be if the stage still looked full.”;;
Baek Jiheon added, “When I think of this album, I imagine the kind of ocean that everyone dreams of. Both the title track and the B-sides have a much more free-spirited vibe. While maintaining fromis_9’s signature sound—full of positive energy—we focused a lot on the question, ‘What kind of newness can we show with just the five of us?’”;;
When asked what they believe is fromis_9’s unique charm, Lee Chaeyoung responded, “Bright energy. Even in tough situations, the five of us always try to maintain a cheerful vibe. Just thinking about the members brightens my mood.”;;
Park Jiwon added, “When I’m with the members, I get more talkative, and my vibe totally changes. I’m curious why that happens too. Maybe it’s because I feel most like myself and completely at ease around them.”;;
When asked about the kind of performances they’d like to showcase in the future, Lee Nagyung expressed her excitement for their upcoming album by saying, “There are a lot of songs in the new album with band sounds. I’d love to try a rock band-style performance at least once.”;;
