Super Eagles captain, Wilfred Ndidi, has warned Portugal that Eric Chelle’s side doesn’t care who they are playing ahead of both sides’ international friendly match on Wednesday night.
The Beşiktaş midfielder insisted that the Super Eagles will not be intimidated when they take on Portugal at the Estadio Dr Magalhaes Pessoa, Leiria.
Portugal head into the game as clear favourites on home soil, and they have the likes of top football superstars like Cristiano Ronaldo and Bruno Fernandes, while Nigeria will be without the likes of Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference, Ndidi told reporters, “We believe in ourselves.
“We don’t care who we are playing, even if we’re playing the likes of the biggest countries in the world.
“But the most important thing is we as players, we as a team, which is very important, and we look forward to taking our philosophy and our strategy to the game.”
