According to Argentine racing publication Turf Diario, Dettori will no longer be traveling to Chile.
Instead, he is set to head to Brazil at the beginning of February.
Dettori will race at the Gavea course in Rio de Janeiro.
He will conclude his career under the watch of the Christ the Redeemer statue, recognized as one of the world's seven wonders.
Meanwhile, Dettori has arrived in Argentina with his wife Catherine for his latest adventure.
He will race over a mile and a half on El Puque at the Gran Premio Carlos Pellegrini in Buenos Aires.
First place carries a substantial prize of £260,000, and Dettori is eager to hit the track.
He expressed: “For a long time, people have been asking me to come and ride in South America, but my commitments never allowed it. Now feels like the right moment to give back that affection with a farewell tour, and the fact that we are about to make it happen means the world to me.
“I’m thrilled to be going there, to give the public my very best, and to thank them for all the love they’ve shown me over the years.”
In the meantime, the Argentine racing community is excited to see Dettori in action.
Race spokesperson Pablo Carrizo stated: “It’s incredibly exciting to have a world-renowned figure like Frankie competing in the most significant horse race in Argentina and South America.

“In Argentina, many people aren’t familiar with international horse racing, but everyone knows Frankie and the global fame that surrounds him.
“The day attracts tens of thousands of fans, making it the event with the largest attendance. Adding Frankie to the lineup serves as an extra incentive, and surely many more fans will come to see a world-famous figure like him.
“We hope he can win to perform his world-famous flying dismount. This would be unforgettable for the Argentine audience and a moment we’d cherish forever.
“San Isidro is a very European-style track with wide turns, uphill and downhill straights, providing plenty of room to maneuver. It’s an ideal track for Frankie.
“The best horses from Argentina and Brazil will be competing, but Frankie’s horse has a relatively good chance against a very competitive field.”
