COVENTRY and Southampton have been charged by the FA following a scuffle sparked by Frank Lampard at the end of their 1-1 draw last Saturday.
Sky Blues boss , 47, was delighted after his side managed to hold out for a point despite being down to 10 men since the 47th minute.

The legend had taken stick during the match, even being labelled a “s*** “.
As he walked onto the pitch after the game, Lampard sarcastically waved a thumbs up at home supporters – enraging Saints players.
Leo Scienza went steaming over to the Coventry gaffer, while Taylor Harwood-Bellis was also involved.
The situation , with several players from both teams pushing, shoving and angrily exchanging words.
An FA statement on the matter read: “Southampton and Coventry have been charged following their fixture on Saturday December 20.
“It’s alleged that both clubs failed to ensure their players and/or technical area staff did not behave in an improper and/or provocative way after the final whistle.
“Southampton and Coventry have until Tuesday December 30 to provide their respective responses.”
Lampard went on to say sorry for his role in the ruckus – but felt that he too was due an apology.
The legend said: “Heart on sleeve, I feel a bit calmer now.
“I apologise for my language, and maybe that stand will apologise for their language.
“I’m well and truly over that one and it got a bit heated but sometimes you take that 99 minutes and you’re hanging on and seeing the players do what they do, and I feel I live it with them.”
Coventry had taken the lead on the stroke of half-time via Ephron Mason-Clarke.
Jay Dasilva saw red barely two minutes into the second half, with equalising before the hour mark.
Coventry’s point saw them remain six clear of second-placed at the top of the Championship.
Lampard’s men will return to action on Boxing Day as they host Swansea City.
