Super Eagles forward, Ahmed Musa, has reacted to the death of former goalkeeper Peter Rufai.

Rufai died on Thursday after a prolonged sickness.

Rufai, who was popularly called Dodomayana during his playing days, was 61 years old.

Reacting, Musa, in a post on X, described Rufai as a hero, urging him to fly high.

According to the former Leicester City star, Rufai’s legacy will continue to soar higher than any trophy.

“Can’t believe I’m typing this – a post to bid farewell to a true giant of Nigerian football, Peter Rufai. Your heroic reflexes and unwavering presence between the posts brought us moments of pride on the world stage,”; Musa wrote.

“May your spirit continue to inspire future generations of Super Eagles. Though you have left us, your legacy soars higher than any trophy. Fly high, DODOMAYANA — the nation mourns a hero.

“Condolences to your family, friends, teammates, and fans. Rest in peace, legend.”;
