Floyd Mayweather lined up with FOUR exhibition bouts in 2023 with boxing icon set for five more years in ring

FLOYD MAYWEATHER is being lined up for as many as FOUR exhibition fights next year.

The boxing legend returns to the ring on Sunday night in Dubai over eight spectacle rounds against YouTuber Deji.

SunSport understands Middle East-based promotion Global Titans, staging the event, have signed Mayweather to a three-year deal.

They are eyeing up four events next year, with London, Saudi Arabia, Tokyo and Dubai among the potential venues to host.

And Global Titans are open to having Mayweather headline all four of their upcoming shows.

CEO Uday Singh told SunSport: “We’ll try to have Floyd fight at least three or four times next year.”

Mayweather, 45, retired in 2017 after beating ex-UFC champion Conor McGregor, 34, but has had four exhibition bouts since.

He most recently knocked out Japanese MMA contender Miruku Asakura, 30, on a RIZIN bill.

That came after facing kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa, 24, YouTuber Logan Paul, 27, and ex-sparring partner Don Moore.

Mayweather and Moore were set to extraordinarily box on top of a hotel HELIPAD 700ft above sea level in May.

But the death of UAE President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed al-Nahyan at 73 saw it scrapped and head to Abu Dhabi a week later.

Global Titans were not involved following the president’s death and were still contracted to a fight with Mayweather.

Now six months later, he will debut for the promotion against Deji, 25, at the Coca-Cola Arena.

Singh has big plans for Mayweather heading forward, including rematches against Manny Pacquiao, 43, and Conor McGregor.

And he joked he will even finally see off the unbeaten icon into retirement for good.

Singh said: “Floyd says he wouldn’t want to fight past 50, so that’s five years left. So we’ll probably retire him as well!”
