FLOYD MAYWEATHER called Will Smith EVERY DAY for ten days after slapping Chris Rock at the Oscars.
Smith hit comedian Rock live on stage due to a joke about his wife Jada Pinkett.
The Hollywood star, who later in the night won an Academy award, was forced to apologise for his actions.
And he revealed, while going through a dark period following the incident, it was boxing legend Mayweather, 45, who tried to comfort him,
Smith, 54, said in a video obtained by TMZ Sports: âI want to say something also about Floyd.
âSo, weâve met each other, weâve seen each other around, but we werenât like, friends.
“And, the day after the Oscars, for ten days he called me every day.
âAnd, he was like, âAy, you know you the champ, right? You good? You know you the champ, right? I want you to hear my voice say it.’
âThat was every day he called me ⦠and itâs like, thatâs my dude forever right there.â
Smith, who in 2001 played the iconic Muhammad Ali, later made a public apology to Smith.

He said: “I am human and I made a mistake and I’m trying not to think of myself as a piece of s**”.”
Smith, who picked up an Oscar for his role in King Richard, said he reached out to Rock, but that never heard back from him.
As revealed by The Sun, the performer is in talks with Netflix over a tell-all biopic about his life after slapping Rock.
