Firefly Lane is one of the best and most popular Netflix shows of 2021 so far. Since it premiered on Netflix, Firefly Lane season 2 has been on the minds of everyone who watched the Netflix original series

The series is based on the book of the same name by Kristin Hannah. It stars Sarah Chalke and Katherine Heigl.

The first season of the series premiered on Netflix on Feb. 3, 2021. It topped the daily Netflix Top 10 for several weeks until Ginny and Georgia came along and knocked it out of the No. 1 spot.

How many seasons of Firefly Lane are there?

At the time of publishing, there is only one season of Firefly Lane on Netflix.

Is Firefly Lane going to have a season 2?

As of April 2021, Netflix has not renewed Firefly Lane for season 2. While it’s not exactly a big deal at this point, it is kind of concerning.

Netflix usually waits about a month or two to renew a series for another season or cancel the show. It used to be pretty consistent, but now, Netflix waits a little longer, in most cases, to announce its decisions. That’s the good news for Firefly Lane fans!

We could see the renewal anytime in the next couple of months.

But, the problem is that Netflix has been renewing tons of shows lately, including Bridgerton for an additional three seasons, and so if Firefly Lane isn’t among that group that’s been renewed already, fans will wonder why.

I have a pretty good feeling about Firefly Lane season 2, but Netflix has canceled better shows, so we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.

How many episodes are in Firefly Lane season 2?

There were 10 episodes in Firefly Lane season 1.

Assuming Firefly Lane is renewed for season 2, I think we’ll probably get to see 10 more episodes of the series in the new season. Typically, Netflix keeps it pretty consistent with its episode orders between seasons. There’s some variance, but for the most part, you can expect the same length of seasons, in terms of episodes.

When is Firefly Lane season 2 filming?

At the time of publishing, it’s unclear if there are any plans for production right now. If the renewal was ordered soon, we could expect the show to start production within the next few months.

It’s also possible that, with the pandemic, production could start much later this year.

Firefly Lane season 2 release date

Now, this is the information everyone wants to know, and unfortunately, it’s usually the hardest information to come by: the Firefly Lane season 2 release date.

Normally, we can expect a year or so between new seasons of Netflix shows. So, as we mentioned, the first season premiered in February 2021. We could see the second season as early as that time in 2022.

Unfortunately, Firefly Lane season 2 has not been given the green light from Netflix yet. So, that complicates the timeline quite a bit.

I think the earliest we could expect to see Firefly Lane season 2 would be in the spring of 2022. There’s just not enough time to get the second season done before that, based on current industry trends and how long things are taking.
