FIFA have announced reduced ticket prices for four key World Cup-related matches.

According to The Athletic , however, prices have significantly lowered for the upcoming World Cup qualifying intercontinental play-offs near Guadalajara and Monterrey.

Two semi-finals will take place on March 26 and two finals will follow on March 31 at stadiums with the winners filling two of the last six spots at this summer’s tournament.

The first semi will see Jamaica facing New Caledonia at Estadio Akron, with the winner advancing to meet Congo five days later.

And in the second semi-final will pit Bolivia against Suriname at Estadio BBVA, with the winner facing Iraq.

Both semi-final clashes will cost a mere 200 Mexican pesos, which is approximately £8.50.

And the two finals will be priced at 300 pesos, who is roughly £12.74.

This comes after ticket prices for the summer’s tournament rose by a staggering 370 per cent compared to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.

Stats showed that a fan planning to follow their national team throughout the entire tournament would have to splash a minimum total of £5,141.8, compared to £1,095.4 four years ago.

After the uproar tweaked their pricing categories and will offer around 1,000 tickets per game for $60 (£45) to supporters of the two participating teams.
