A PARAGLIDER who died in a suspected crash has been pictured as his heartbroken family pay tribute.

Daniel Morgan, 42, died following a fatal incident at the cliffs in Rhossili, , last month.

Emergency services, including an air ambulance, raced to reports of an accident on May 11.

Despite the best efforts of , Mr Morgan was sadly pronounced dead at the scene around 9pm.

His family have now launched two fundraisers for the Coastguard and Air Ambulance, describing him as “someone who truly lived life to the absolute fullest”.

In a touching tribute, they said: “He approached the world with open arms, a sense of adventure, and a heart larger than life.

“It was during one of these adventures, doing what he loved, that Daniel was involved in a tragic paragliding accident.

“It brings us some comfort that he was in the company of his friends at a location he loved, Rhossili Bay.”

They added that he was a “fiercely loyal, honest, and deeply caring brother, son, and friend”.

“He had a rare gift for showing up for the people in his life, supporting so many of us in so many different ways. He was naturally charitable, always putting others before himself,” they said.

The 42-year-old’s friend said he “showed unrelenting kindness and encouragement” and that “he was one of the most positive influences on my life to date”.

“From climbing to paragliding to base jumping, this outrageous, courgaeous man had a unique outlook on life and he lived it to the fullest”.

Mr Morgan’s family also thanked the Coastguard saying they will be “forever grateful for their swift response, bravery and dedication”.

South Wales said it was HM Coastguard that had alerted the force on the day of the tragedy.

A spokesperson said: “South Wales Police were called at 9pm on Monday, May 11, by the coastguard to report of an accident at the cliffs in Rhossili, Swansea.

“Despite the best efforts of the coastguard and air ambulance 42-year-old Daniel Morgan from Cross Hands died at the scene.

“Investigations into the incident are ongoing.”

Mr Morgan’s death will now be the subject of an inquest which has been adjourned until November, reports WalesOnline .
