THIS is the dramatic moment a ferry carrying 100 passengers crashes head-first into a cargo ship off the coast of a Greek holiday island.
Shocking footage shows the 600ft-long vessel slamming into the hull of the cargo ship and crunching through its port side.

The accident unfolded at around 10am as the passenger boat left the port of Souda in Crete while the Iosif K. was trying to dock.
One of the ships frantically blared its horn to warn the other of the impending doom.
But neither vessel appeared to be capable of turning off-course.
One nail-biting video zoomed in on the exact moment the two massive ships rammed into one another.
A loud crunch was heard as the front of the ferry tore into the cargo ship’s port side.
sirens wailed through the air as the cargo ship – which was carrying 84 trucks – rebounded off the other vessel.
The ferry, named Elyros by local media, had 100 people on board as well as 32 cars and 74 trucks.

Greek newspaper Zarpa News said the ferry had “suffered abrasions” while the cargo ship has “damage to its bow”.
The Coast Guard have launched an into the incident and both vessels have been banned from sailing until it is determined that they are safe to travel.
It comes just days after a on board a ship off the coast of Crete.
The Brit had passed out on deck and, after desperate rounds of first aid, the captain decided to divert the vessel to the city of Chania.
The 79-year-old was then rushed to hospital – but sadly declared dead last week.
The Chania Port Authority have launched a probe into the man’s death and ordered an autopsy.
It is still unclear how the Brit died, or whether he was with family when he fell unconscious.
