The scuffle took place at São Paulo-Guarulhos International Airport on June 16.
Witnesses said the passenger had been arguing with staff moments earlier before the confrontation escalated into violence.
According to airport officials, at least four employees were assaulted during the incident.
were told the dispute began after the passenger became frustrated over check-in instructions and disruption affecting her flight.
LATAM swiftly condemned the attack, saying: “LATAM Airlines Brasil repudiates any kind of aggressive behaviour, emphasises that nothing justifies violence against its employees, and informs that it is offering all necessary support to those affected.”
An investigation is now under way to establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
This is not the first time violence has erupted on board an aircraft.
