Fake News – Man City’s Ederson dismisses exit rumours

Published on June 26, 2025 at 03:20 PM

Manchester City goalkeeper, Ederson has rubbished reports linking him with a move away from the club this summer.

The Brazilian, who joined the club from Benfica for 40 million euros in 2017,
labelled the reports as fake news.

Ederson will enter the final year of his contract with Manchester City this summer.

Reports had emerged linking the 31-year-old with a move away from the club to Saudi Arabia this summer.

However, the 31-year-old, who has won six Premier League titles and the Champions League, is insisting that he won’t leave Pep Guardiola’s side.

“No, my future is here,”; Ederson told reporters ahead of Man City’s Club World Cup tie with Juventus on Thursday night.

“Some friends send me a lot of news but 99 per cent is fake news. I understand you guys (media), you need the news to put a like on social media or rant for the news.

“I understand, but there is a lot of fake news around my name. My head is here, it stays with City.”;
