A FORMER footballer turned professional DJ has died after allegedly being beaten by cops at a house pary in Ibiza.
Michele Noschese - known by his moniker DJ Godzi - was a former youth player before giving up sport for music.



The Italian DJ, 35, died after he was allegedly assaulted by cops at his home during a late-night party at his home Ibiza.
Cops reportedly swooped on his home responding to a noise complaint, with the confrontation turning violent.
He had been living in for the last 10 years.
Noschese was well known on the holiday island and performed frequently at music events in London, Paris, Barcelona, and New York.
He died in the early hours of Saturday.
His death was announced by numerous friends, online electronic music pages and has been widely reported in Italian media.
It is currently under investigation by the authorities, as officers work to reconstruct the events leading up to the alleged assault.
Michele was reportedly holding a party at his home when neighbours called the Civil Guard over the loud noise.
The DJ clashed with several officers and was allegedly beaten, according to several witnesses.
His body was taken to a nearby morgue to undergo an autopsy.
The authorities are waiting for the post-mortem results to establish his exact cause of death.
Michele’s family has reportedly requested an independent forensic medical report.
The Spanish judiciary confirmed that they have opened an investigation, which is being closely monitored by the Italian Consulate in Barcelona.
Fulvio Martusciello, MEP for the Forza Italia political party, said: “We want to know the truth about Michele Noschese’s death.
“We want to understand what happened and what the Civil Guard’s responsibility is.
“The sudden death of a young, successful and well-liked Neapolitan, an internationally renowned DJ, cannot remain in the shadows.
Techno-house label Mood Child shared images of Michele with the message: “We are truly saddened by this news. Michele had a kind heart and was part of the Mood family after releasing his track ‘Love This Game’ on Mood Edits.”



Michele said in an interview in 2023: “My passion for music began when I was 15 years old, and then came my first decks.
“My music is more tech-house than true house. Ibiza is the home of my music.
“I only lived in London for two years, but it helped me a lot in my musical development.
“Before my sets, I usually prepare a track list, but I never follow it because every place is different and every audience has its own needs.
“I tell any young DJ to work hard from morning to night in front of the PC to compose electronic music.”
Michele was also a talented footballer and played in Serie C with Cavese and Benevento as well as Napoli’s youth team.
He was offered the opportunity to play professionally in the Swiss top flight but turned it down to become a DJ.
He also had a degree in economics.
An investigation into his death is ongoing.
