The bets are alleged to have taken place between November 20, 2024 and February 12 this year.
“It’s alleged that the player breached FA Rule E1.2 in respect of 61 bets placed on football matches between 20 November 2024 and 12 February 2026.
“Martin Sherif has until Monday 17 August to provide a response.”
Sherif joined Everton’s youth set up in 2019.
The Dutch youth international has been on the Toffees’ first team bench several times but is yet to make a senior appearance for the club.
He spent the first half of last season on loan at Rotherham United in League One, scoring twice in 10 appearances.
Sherif went on to join Port Vale in January, netting two goals in 19 outings as they were relegated to League Two.
