Manchester United midfielder, Casemiro, has revealed that what surprises him most about the clubâs manager Erik ten Hag is that the Dutchman has an âobsession with winningâ.
According to Casemiro, it is a quality he has seen in only a few other managers he has played under.
The Brazilian said this at his pre-match press conference ahead of Man Unitedâs Europa League tie with Real Sociedad on Thursday evening.
The 30-year-old, who joined Man United in a £70million deal from Real Madrid in the summer, has already played under the likes of Zinedine Zidane, Carlo Ancelotti, Luis Felipe Scolari and Tite.
When asked what he can learn from Ten Hag, Casemiro said, âAfter being in football for quite a while, despite the fact I am only 30, his [Ten Hagâs] obsession for winning is what surprised me the most.
âI think heâs got many strengths, we all know it is a process, and weâre growing together. We all see he wants to win and his obsession for teaching us and making us better to the millimetre is key.
âThat obsession with winning is something I have only seen with very few managers.â
