Euro Under-21 final: England beat Germany to lift back-to-back trophy

England have won this year’s European Under-21 Championship in Slovakia.

This follows their 3-2 victory against Germany in the final on Saturday night.

Harvey Elliott and Omari Hutchinson gave England a 2-0 advantage before
Germany fought back to equalize through Nelson Weiper and Paul Nebel.

The match later ended in a 2-2 draw after 90 minutes at Tehelné Pole.

Jonathan Rowe then scored in extra-time to give Lee Carsley’s side the victory against Germany

The win against Germany means England have now defended their European crown in Slovakia.

England won the last edition of the European Under-21 Championship in 2023 after beating Spain in the final.

England and Germany qualified for the European Under-21 final after beating the likes of Netherlands and France in the semi-final encounter.
