Although Ruca was closing in on a win over the new champion, Zaria turned up and beat Ruca down, costing her the victory.
Page, 36, spent three years in AEW and previously had a successful spell in TNA from 2017-2021.
The Canadian held the NXT title during his time in WWE’s developmental and will instantly add charisma and work rate to the main roster.
Ruca has emerged as a true prodigy in the women’s division.
She’s a former Women’s North American champion with one of the most exciting movesets in the industry today.
Still only 26, WWE has high hopes for the California-native and running the champion close on her debut is a testament to that.
It was also announced on the broadcast that Joe Hendry will be making his debut on RAW next week in another NXT call-up.
