But it was Estevao who took the plaudits as
as his side dominated the game.
Estevao’s strike saw him become just the third teenager to score in each of his first Champions League starts after Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland.
And despite previous questions over his physicality, the wiry winger’s goal was recorded as moving at a stunning 64mph.
His name was chanted from the rafters after being taken off in the 83rd minute.
And Estevao’s impact was in
The fellow 18-year-old had little joy down the right, despite being widely heralded as the best young player on the planet.
He struggled to make any headway against Spain teammate Marc Cucurella.
And when Yamal was subbed off with 10 minutes left, he was greeted with chants of “You’re just a s*** Estevao” by jubilant home fans.
Interestingly though, the stats show that Yamal saw a lot more of the ball than his rival.

The Barcelona star touched it 66 times compared to Estevao, who only made contact on 47 occasions..
Yamal also made 26 passes, two more than the Brazilian.
And he was also forced into two tackles high up the pitch as Estevao failed to make a single one.
However, the numbers merely emphasise how Barcelona were forced onto the back-foot at Stamford Bridge, with Estevao enjoying the fruits of his side’s dominance.
Indeed, when it came down to purely attacking, Estevao easily took the crown with one strike from two shots – with Yamal having just one single punt all game.
But in terms of overall stats this season though, Estevao still has some way to go to catch Yamal.
The Samba starlet boasts five goals and one assist in 16 games.
Yet Yamal, who has played just 12 times, has six goals and seven assists to his name.
Despite the difference, fans are excited to see Yamal finally get some competition.
Hailing Estevao, one said: “He’s leaving defenders dizzy and Barcelona salty.”
Another declared: “Estevao is announcing himself with style and skill.”
One noted: “Cooking in Europe.”
Another added: “World beater.”
