Former Chelsea striker, Tony Cascarino, has told Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang that the Blues will abandon him in a matter of time.
The Gabon international joined the Blues last summerâs transfer deadline day and has scored three goals in 10 appearances.
The 33-year-old appears to be struggling at Stamford Bridge having joined from Barcelona over the summer after helping the Catalan side qualify for the 2022-23 Champions League.
Cascarino expects the former Arsenal striker’s career at Stamford Bridge not to last, and in fact, end the way his time at Camp Nou ended.
He advised Chelsea owner Todd Boehly to look for a âbetterâ striker, Insisting that the African star has nothing to offer at Stamford Bridge.
“Iâm not even sure Aubameyang is a player Chelsea will be looking at next season,â he told talkSPORT.
âI think what will happen is what happened to him at Barcelona.
He noted that having bought the Gabonese in January from Arsenal, the Catalan side realised he was not good enough and signed Robert Lewandowski from Bayern Munich.
Cascarino noted that the signing of Lewandowski meant the multiple times La Liga winners had to let Aubameyang leave for Chelsea.
