Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag, preferred forward to replace Cristiano Ronaldo at Old Trafford in the upcoming January transfer window has been revealed.
According to ESPN, Ten Hag has two names on his shortlist to replace Ronaldo, with Netherlands World Cup star Cody Gakpo his preferred target.
This is coming after Ronaldo’s exit from Manchester United earlier this week.
Recall that Ronaldo’s contract with Man United was terminated by mutual consent following his recent explosive interview with broadcaster Piers Morgan.
Meanwhile, Gakop, who currently plays in club football at PSV, has scored 15 goals in 26 appearances for both club and country this season.
The 23-year-old is currently with the Holland national team at the ongoing 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
