Manchester City have missed the chance to maintain the four-point gap between them and Arsenal, after drawing 2-2 with Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday evening.

Pep Guardiola’s men travelled to North London knowing that the Gunners had thrashed Leeds United 4-0.

Earlier in the day, Aston Villa also dropped points, losing 1-0 to 10-man Brentford.

City raced into a two-goal lead at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, thanks to Ryan Cherki and Antoine Semenyo.

But the hosts fought back in the second half, with Dominic Solanke scoring a brace, to make sure they got a point.

Arsenal have now extended their lead at the top of the table to six points this weekend.
