Former Manchester United captain, Gary Neville, has claimed the club’s new striker, Benjamin Sesko is nowhere near up to speed.

Neville was speaking on his podcast on Sky Sports, following the Red Devils’ 1-1 draw at Fulham on Sunday.

Leny Yoro’s header was deflected in to give United the lead, but 15 minutes later substitute Emile Smith Rowe equalized for the hosts.

Sesko was brought on in the second half as Ruben Amorim’s men chased a winner at Craven Cottage.

The 22-year-old has now made two substitute appearances since his £74m move from RB Leipzig.

“[Amorim] is going to have to get Sesko in against Grimsby and give him 90 minutes so that he can be played [from the start] against Burnley next Saturday because you can see he needs football.

“What you can’t do is let a player of that value, that potential, just keep being on the bench.”
