Former Liverpool star Rickie Lambert has said that Jurgen Klopp’s biggest mistake this season was not signing players over the summer transfer window.
He also noted that this was the German’s first mistake as Reds boss, but still backed Liverpool to finish second in the Premier League table this season.
Liverpool are currently sitting in 10th position, winning only two top-flight games thus far, and were beaten by Arsenal 3-2 on Sunday.
“This is probably the first time he[Klopp] might have made a mistake, not bringing [enough] players in [this summer].
“I think we will come back. I think we will finish second. We are more than capable of winning 10 or 15 games on the bounce.
“I think Arsenal have started brilliantly, but I think they will realise how hard it is to get over 90 points. Manchester City are going to do it easily again.”
