Manchester United’s co-owner, Sir Jim Ratcliffe has told manager, Ruben Amorim where he wants the Red Devils to finish next season after the Portuguese suggested he could resign.
Man United dropped to 16th position on the Premier League table over the weekend after losing 2-0 to West Ham.
Following Man United’s defeat to West Ham, Amorim suggested that the Old Trafford club should give the coaching job to another person if the club continue with their poor form next season.
“I have that feeling, we need to change that and we need to be really strong in the summer and be brave because we will not have the next season like this,”;; Amorim said at his post-match interview.
“If we start like this, or if the feeling is still here, we should give the space to different persons.”;;
However, according to the Manchester Evening News, Man United’s owners have already set out their main target for the 2025/26 season, believing a top-six finish would be an “acceptable aim”;;.
This means that United will have to battle the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, Chelsea, Aston Villa, Nottingham Forest and Newcastle United for the “big-six”;; clubs.
