Former Liverpool striker, Peter Crouch has named Igor Thiago as the player who caused Manchester United problems during their Premier League 3-1 defeat to Brighton on Saturday.
Brighton defeated Man United at home, thanks to goals from Thiago and Mathias Jensen.
Benjamin Sesko scored Man United’s only goal of the encounter as Bruno Fernandes missed a penalty against the hosts.
However, Crouch believes Ruben Amorim’s side couldn’t cope defensively against Brighton as Thiago was causing the Red Devils many problems.
“Manchester United couldn’t cope defensively. The centre forward Thiago was causing so many problems,” every department,” Crouch said on TNT Sports (as quoted by BBC Sport).
“They got bullied at times, the centre-halves. United didn’t have enough going forward, it didn’t feel like they were creating much and a really bad day at the office again.”
Man United’s next Premier League tie is against Sunderland next weekend.
