Former Watford striker, Troy Deeney, has said that he is not convinced that Arsenal new striker, Viktor Gyökeres will score many goals for the Gunners.
He even believes that the striker would end up as a bench warmer at the Emirates Stadium.
He said that the Germany International, Kai Havertz, would be preferred to lead Arsenal attack instead.
Deeney said that Arsenal fans would be disappointed if they expect Gyokeres to replicate his form for Sporting CP, adding that it is a different level of pressure in the Premier League.
Arsenal signed Gyokeres from Portuguese side, Sporting CP for a reported transfer fee of £55 million summer to solve their attacking problems.
Against Manchester United in the Premier League on Sunday, the striker struggled to find his footing.
“I am not convinced Viktor Gyokeres will score as many goals for Arsenal as people think.
“People don’t realise the difference between playing in Portugal and playing for Arsenal or Manchester United or Liverpool,” Deeney said.
Both Gyokeres and Havertz failed to find the target during the Gunners’ 1-0 win over Manchester United on Sunday.
