Arsenal manager, Mikel Arteta has expressed happiness for captain Martin Odegaard after the midfielder signed a new contract with the club.
Arsenal on Friday confirmed that Odegaard had signed a new long-term contract with the Gunners.
The Norway international had joined Arsenal from Real Madrid in 2021.
Reacting, Arteta said Odegaard fully deserves the new contract.
“Great news for the club and the team. I am really happy for him as well, he fully deserves that,” Arteta told Arsenal’s official website.
“It just shows there are many ways to make it. There are many pathways to get to where you want to be. At the end, it is about finding a place where you feel comfortable, and valued and where you can express your talent.
“I think he’s found that place. He’s loved and respected by everybody and he fully deserves what he’s doing.”
