Arsenal’s former star player, Ian Wright, has said there was no way Manchester United could have beaten the Gunners with Andre Onana in goal.
Manchester United went to the Emirates Stadium and there they beat Arsenal 3-2, handing Mikel Arteta’s side their first home defeat of the season
Wright thinks that Mikel Arteta’s team would have won the match if Onana had been the goalkeeper for the Red Devils instead of Senne Lammens.
The Manchester United goalkeeper made three important saves in the match and then followed that with three punches and three high claims.
He was very important in the 3-2 victory, and Wright thinks the new goalkeeper made a big difference.
On The Overlap’s Stick To Football podcast, Wright said that Onana would not have helped Manchester United win the game.
He hailed the new signing and said, “The goalkeeper made a few good saves early on.
“That’s what it is. I tell you what, I think we would have won that game if Onana was playing, definitely!”
Arsenal has 50 points from their 23 matches, while Manchester United has 38 points and are in fourth place in the table.
