David Seaman, a former Arsenal goalkeeper, has rubbished former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher’s recent comments about midfielder Declan Rice.
Following Arsenal’s recent Premier League 2-2 draw with Liverpool last weekend, Carragher suggested that Rice could start to think about his future and leaving the Gunners if they fail to win a trophy again next season.
When asked to react to Carragher’s comments on the Seaman Says podcast, Seaman replied: “Wow. So we have not even finished this season and he is talking about [Arsenal] not doing anything next season... and then someone [ Declan Rice] might leave in the next season.
”;; No, I can’t believe that he [Jamie Carragher] has said something like that because I am excited about next season with Arsenal.
“They are getting better and better, they are contending consistently.”;;
He added, “We end up playing PSG that were a fantastic team so Declan will stay. There is no problem, not at all.”;;
Rice joined Arsenal from West Ham United in 2023 after beating Manchester City for his signature.
