Manchester City have agreed a deal with manager Pep Guardiola’s replacement, Enzo Maresca.

This was disclosed by football transfer expert Nicolo Schira, who revealed that Maresca has an agreement in principle with the Cityzens for a contract until 2028 with the option for 2029.

In a post on X at the weekend, Schira insisted that “it is now up to Guardiola to decide what to do as Maresca is waiting.”

Man City have designated Maresca as Guardiola’s replacement if the former Barcelona and Bayern Munich head coach leaves Etihad Stadium at the end of the season.

Guardiola has a year left on his contract with Man City, and he has been linked with a move away from the Premier League giants.

The 55-year-old recently cleared the air regarding his future at Man City.
