Former Manchester United defender, Patrice Evra, has warned the club’s hierarchy against one major transfer mistake ahead of the summer.
For him, the Red Devils must do anything possible to keep Bruno Fernandes at Old Trafford.
Evra believes that the Manchester based outfit cannot let go of their captain amid Saudi Pro League interest.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Evra said that the Portuguese midfielder is the main player for the Red Devils and it would be a mistake to let him leave.
He added that the Portuguese star is the main reason they are in the Europa League final.
He noted that what the Portuguese manager is lacking at the moment is a competitive team, adding that the Red Devils need more players in every position.
“I heard in Saudi they offered a lot of money to get Bruno and I think it would be a mistake to let him go,”;; he added.
“People talk about his age, 30. No! He’s the most important player in the team. I think if Bruno wasn’t there, maybe we wouldn’t be in the final of the Europa League,”;; he said.
Manchester United are finishing slightly above relegation this season but will play in the Europa League final on May 21 against Tottenham Hotspur in Bilbao.
