Newcastle United manager, Eddie Howe has singled out Anthony Gordon for praise following his side’s Premier League 1-0 win over Manchester United on Saturday.
Howe watched as Gordon scored the only goal of the match to give the hosts all three points against Man United at St. James’ Park.
Speaking after the game, Howe said Gordon was very good against the visitors.
“He was very good again, up against a very good defender today in Wan-Bissaka,” Howe told TNT Sports.
He added, “Physically he was so good today, it was a really good battle between the two of them.
“I am delighted he is scoring the goals now and getting the recognition he deserves.”
