Erling Haaland’s agent, Rafaela Pimenta, has said the Manchester City striker must be “protected” from “exaggerated news” over his future.
The Norwegian only moved to the Etihad in the summer from Borussia Dortmund in a £51m switch.
Haaland has already scored 23 times in 18 matches in all appearances.
Despite his fine start to life in England, there have been speculations about a release clause in his City contract.
It is claimed that a £172m clause will become active in 2024 and will drop to £150m the following year.
There are even suggestions there were special allowances written in for LaLiga giants Real Madrid.
Speaking in an interview with Marca, Pimenta said: “You have to do it [ask the question about the release clause] and it is very interesting.
“Haaland must be protected from this situation because he is a very young boy who still has to grow up. Everything is news around him, but it has to be because of his goals and his way of playing. I don’t want other things to come.”
